Reach Your Highest Level of Efficiency with "Engineering 4.0"

What is the right level of automation for your company? Should you fully automate your engineering workflow or is partial automation the best option? By analyzing the efficiency of traditional work methods and varying degrees of automation, researchers were able to identify the optimal level of engineering automation.

“Engineering 4.0” is an eight-month study conducted by EPLAN and the European 4.0 Transformation Center (E4TC) at RWTH Aachen University that looks at the efficiency potential and the use of CAE software in electrical design for engineering machines and plant systems. The methodology developed quantifies potentials and procedures in engineering, and for first time, making a well-founded evaluation of current engineering workflows in mass machine manufacturing and special machine manufacturing.
